For your assessment of the shortlisted startups, please carefully read the
following guidelines before starting your assessment.
Number of Startups
Based on the pre-qualification process between 5 – 10 August 2019, the Irbis
Ventures management team has shortlisted a total of 17 startups for your
consideration. We believe that these startups are worth your time, and could be
a good investment opportunity for Irbis Ventures. In this regard, we need your
help to assess each of these startups. Please do not leave any startup without
scoring.
Order of Assessment
We recommend you to follow the following order of assessment:

Peer Review” which include the scoring and feedback
provided by the matched peer startup of the startup being assessed;

Important Factors for Consideration” which have been
prepared by our management team for your consideration;

Review “
Shared Notes for Committee Members” which have been
inserted by your fellow committee members;

Shared Notes for Committee Members” if you have any
important matter to note for your fellow committee members’ consideration; and

Based on your review of the foregoing materials and information, please assess
the startup in accordance with the assessment metrics stated below.
Assessment Metrics
Please consider the following metrics in assessing the startup being reviewed by
you. You do not need to answer each question. These questions are designed to
help you to form your assessment of the startup being reviewed. Please also note
that depending on the startup’s stage (concept, MVP, launched and monetising)
some questions might not be applicable.
Founders - Are the founders committed?
- Do the founders have domain knowledge in this industry?

Do the founders have past success such as an exit through IPO or acquisition?
- Do the founders look like they get along?
- Is the team balanced?
Product - Is there product market fit?
- Are there users using the product already?
- Is the product scalable?
- Can the product be used globally?
- Is there any IP to it?
Environment -
Is the environment that the start-up in, suitable for its business model?
- Will our investment be safe in that environment?

Do we have sufficient knowledge in that geography to advise the startup?
- Is this the right timing to introduce the product?
- Are the competitive landscape aggressive?
Business Model - Is the start-up generating revenue?
- Is the revenue recurring or one-off?
- Has there been growth in the past period?
- Is there a clear route to profitability?
- Can we introduce potential client to them immediately?
Irbis Ventures Fit - Do we have the necessary resources to help this startup?
- Is there a clear way for us to exit the investment?
- Is there any immediate introduction we can make to this startup?
- Is the start-up coachable?
- Would you like to mentor this startup?
